Kids and Cops One Day Event
October, 2016 was the first annual Kiwanis Kids and Cops Day. The Long Beach Club, along with Division 13 Clubs organized games involving over 100 students from Long Beach Unified, Lindsey Middle School and Long Beach and Downey Police Departments in hosting an event that will bridge the gap between students and police officers.
Circle "K" and High School Key Clubs
Kiwanis proudly supports Circle K International, a collegiate community service organization, that is comprised of college students trying to improve their local communities and larger areas through service, leadership, and fellowship. Kiwanis also supports 7 Key Clubs at local high schools where students can learn leadership skills and serve their community through various volunteer opportunities.
Helping women and children find safety and peace after traumatic events or abuse at home, Lydia House is a safe haven for women and children that otherwise don't have a place to go. Kiwanis provides a dinner each month.

"Kid's Comfort Bags"
Kiwanis Club obtained grants to provide
100 and more bag packs each month for children that are patients in the hospital undergoing medical procedures. These colorful backpacks contains toys, games, books and fun activities to entertain them while hospitalized.
A tradition with Kiwanis is to give one book to Memorial Hospital Children's Clinic Library for each speaker who comes to visit and speak at lunch meetings. Each book has been donated to encourage children who visit the clinic to read. To date, the Clinic has received over 1000 books.
Kiwanis supports Red Kettle Day by collecting donations for the needy during the holidays.

deserved way to show how much we appreciate their service.
Collection and distribution of clothing and toiletries for the homeless is provided through a partnership with the City of Long Beach and all of the clubs in Kiwanis Division 13.
