Long Beach Police Department and Kiwanis Club partner for an annual event named Kiwanis Kids and Cops. The goal is to build cooperation and trust in police.
Kiwanis Club Foundation helped to fund the new Mobile Fire Safety House for the Fire Department to use to teach students fire safety. The unit is ADA accessible.
Volunteers from 7 area high school key clubs and Kiwanis members help Long Beach City and Neighborhood Services plant trees.
Kiwanis produces the annual Heart of a Hero Awards to an outstanding Police Officer & Firefighter
